To the Members and Parents of the Class of 2005:

As the time for graduation quickly approaches, I am sure that you are being inundated with many different tasks that need completion prior to being done at St. Charles North High School . I just wanted to take this time to thank each and every one of you for having had the opportunity to be your class advisor and wish all of you the best as you embark on new chapters in your respective lives.

Before you leave, however, there are many experiences that will serve as capstones on your high school career. I'd like to let you know about them so that you can come and create just a few more meaningful memories that are likely to last a lifetime. On April 22, 2005, from 7 to 9 p.m., the Taste of SCN will be making its debut. Out in the parking range, different clubs and athletic teams will have the opportunity to have carnival style booths for you to try and test your skills, different crafts to create, and music will fill the air as we have different bands and musicians play while you enjoy this evening in the Spring. May becomes a crazy month and the last week is filled with many important events that are listed below:

Tuesday, May 24, 2005 : Graduation Group Meetings occur after school at 2:30
(you must be in attendance to participate in the ceremony on Sunday)

Wednesday, May 25, 2005 : Senior Farewell: 7:00 p.m. in Auditorium: A farewell to your class

Thursday, May 26, 2005 : Senior Barbeque: 6 to 9:30 p.m. in the Courtyard with Trunk Full o' Funk

Friday, May 27, 2005 : Graduation Practice in Main Gym: 7:30 a.m.
(you must be in attendance to participate in the ceremony on Sunday)

Friday, May 27, 2005 : Senior Breakfast immediately following Graduation Practice

Sunday, May 29, 2005 : Commencement Ceremony for the Class of 2005: 3:30 p.m.

Tickets for the Senior BBQ and Breakfast will be 25.00. This price also includes the Senior T-shirt with all the names of your class on the back. Tickets will go on sale later this Spring so listen for announcements.

With all the talk of graduation, you may be looking for ways to "leave your legacy" at

St. Charles North and one way to make a meaningful memory is through the school's Buy-a-Brick program. There is an attachment that has been provided for you in case you'd like to purchase a brick. Simply fill out the form with an inscription of what you'd like the brick to say, return the completed form and payment as indicated, and you will be one step closer to immortalizing your time at SCN.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at nnelson@d303.org. May the next few months be some of the best as we work together to finish this meaningful milestone in your life.

Sincerely,

Dr. Natalie D. Nelson
Class of 2005 Advisor
