Executive President's Speech

A popular country artist Tim McGraw wrote "We all take different paths in life, but no matter where we go, we take a little of each other everywhere."

It is hard to believe that in a few days, we are going to be leaving here, to venture out into the world. It is even harder to believe that tonight we are sending a promising group of people out into the world. It is amazing to think about the potential leaders that are going to present themselves and the impact that they will make. It is an honor to know that the marks you make from day to day, will be carried out in those you manage to touch. I wish that you all could see for yourselves what others see in you. I welcome you to embrace the opportunity you have to change the lives of others, and learn a little about yourselves along the way.

Know that you all contain so much inside yourselves; never underestimate your ability. Remember to make people feel bigger when you are around them. Stay committed in your convictions, and be sure to serve others. Always appreciate the blessings in disguise, and do not forget to find the good in everything. Remain dependable in responsibilities that you have accepted and stay willing to uphold your values. We all walk the same halls everyday, and left our footprints, remember that they are forever in the hearts and minds of those around you.

Thomas Huxley said, that the rung of a ladder was never meant to rest upon, but only to hold a man's foot long enough to enable him to put the other somewhat higher. May St. Charles North be your resting place, and your future, the next rung.

I am excited to see where your paths take you and remember to get me your information so we can start planning a reunion.
